Falling for Plaid Fashion

Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year. Between pumpkin spice lattes, apple cider donuts, and football Sundays, there is absolutely no better season. It is also a brand new start for young children going back to school, students starting their semester of college, and parents finally having the house to themselves! Although fall may look different this year with the pandemic, you can still “plaid up” your style and increase your energy with some bold plaid looks. Here are some of my favorite fall looks for women.

Sweaters

As a recent college graduate from a school where orange was the main color, I am obsessed with this sweater. The orange paired with the different shades of brown matches the fall aesthetic perfectly. Wear a plaid sweater on a pumpkin picking outing with your family!

Going on a fancy first date? I recommend wearing a plaid dress from one of our favorite lines! Whether you are going out to dinner, dancing, or getting coffee with friends, you can’t go wrong with wearing plaid. Casual or with a bit of flare – plaid is so versatile you can wear it anywhere.

Pants

This sophisticated look will wow your girlfriends on your next brunch date. Picture sipping mimosas, apple cider, or hot cocoa in such comfy pants. These pants are just beautiful and will go well with any neutral color top.

Long Sweaters

Going on a weekend trip to the upstate? Perhaps to the Adirondacks? We recommend bringing a cozy long sweater that is as fashionable as it is comfy. It will keep you warm during a night out at a bonfire or a chilly morning stroll.

Vests

I personally love wearing accent pieces with plaid and you just can’t go wrong with a buffalo plaid. This vest is perfect for the early fall days yet can carry you right into the holidays. Imagine the crisp leaves falling and the air turning slightly cooler. You won’t need a full jacket yet, but this vest will keep you warm!!

Shirts

Feeling trendy, but want a more classic look? We recommend pairing a cute traditional plaid shirt with ripped jeans and perhaps a sweater to wear over. Whether you’re heading to work for casual Friday, taking your dog for a long walk, or getting together with friends for a football game, this plaid look will keep you warm and will be perfect for whatever the day brings you.
